The holidays are supposed to be “the most wonderful time of the year,” but for those in mourning, loneliness and sadness often creep in and disrupt otherwise joyful occasions. Processing grief during these festive times is made easier by finding new and meaningful ways to remember their loved one. Here are six ideas to consider:
1. Purchase your loved one’s favorite Christmastime story or book and donate it to your local library, or their elementary school. Attach a label in the front cover indicating the book was donated in your loved one’s name.6. Donate poinsettias or wreaths to their house of worship in their name, or light a candle at their church in their memory
