A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Mr. Herman “T-Boy” Landry, 84, who passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018. The Reverend Keith LaBove, Pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church, will officiate the ceremony. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery immediately following the service.
Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and resume on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.
A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
Herman is survived by one daughter, Mona Landry of Decatur, GA; one son, Ricky Landry and his wife Suzanne of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Tressie Barrett, Lance Beal, Alyssa Credeur, D.J. Landry, Emily Landry, Jacob Landry, and Isabelle Romano-Landry; and ten great-grandchildren, Skylar Barrett, Alex Barrett, Christopher Beal, Gabriel Beal, Jade Credeur, Chase Credeur, Brylee Credeur, Charlie Beth Landry, William Landry, and Sophia Zamora.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Landry; his parents, Alida and Arthur Landry; and his sister, Emily “Mim” Webb.
Herman was the owner/operator of Landry Services, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3202 and Cursillo 162.
Pallbearers will be Lance Beal, Timmy Dugas, D.J. Landry, Jacob Landry, Kenzie Perrodin, and Glenn Webb. Honorary pallbearers are Claude Blakely, Ron Latiolais, P.J. LeBlanc, and Glenn Pesson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to his caregivers, Yolanda Martin, Tanya Noel, Natasha Etienne, and Emily Armstead.
