Thaddeus "Ben" Rachal

A Military Service will be held in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. for Thaddeus “Ben” Rachal, 72, who passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.  A rosary will be prayed after the service at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Natchez, LA.  An hour of visitation will be observed at the church before services from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m..  Interment will take place immediately following the Mass at St. Augustine Cemetery.

Mr. Rachal is survived by his wife, Gloria M. Rachal of Scott, LA;  one daughter, Lesley Hansen and her husband Jeremy of Lafayette;  two sons, Carl Rachal and his wife Monique of Lafayette,  and Brian Rachal and his wife Louise Ann of New Rochelle, NY;  two sisters, Amelia LaCour and her husband Earl of Berkeley, IL,  and Margaret Hickey and her husband Chris of Schaumburg, IL;  two brothers, Edgar Rachal, Jr. and his wife Helen of Hallville, TX,  and Charles Rachal and his wife Connie of Natchitoches, LA;  and four grandchildren, Carter Rachal, Aiden Hansen, Isabel Hansen, and Elliott Hansen.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Mary and Edgar Rachal, Sr.;  and one brother, Joseph Rachal.

A native of Natchitoches, LA, “Ben” has lived in Lafayette for the last 36 years.  He was a member of the United States Army, where he served as a Military Police Officer.
