A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 10:00 am in the Holiday Inn Express Hotel for Bradley J. Roberts Jr., 75, who passed away September 9, 2022 at the Calcutta House. Burial of Mr. Robert's ashes will be the day prior in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Sue Roberts of Lafayette; son, Aaron Bradley Roberts of Lafayette; two sisters, Donna Dial and her husband Preston of Lafayette, and Brenda Thibodeaux and her husband Gerard, of Lafayette; one brother, Richard Roberts and his wife Debbie of Duson; sister-in-law, Annalise Sargent; and several nieces and nephews as well as cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the former Edna Dugas and Bradley Joseph Roberts, Sr.; and in-laws, Thomas Sargent and Mary Sargent.
Bradley was a native of Lafayette. He was a member of the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War between 1966-1970, where he was stationed in Homestead and Key West, Fla. . Upon his return he married his wife, Sue and moved about the country in the oil and gas industry. Some of the places they resided were Mobile, Ala., Houma, La., Kingwood, Tex., Humble, Tex., and Hamilton, Ohio. He retired in 2012.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Brad's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospita l, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) , or Wreaths Across America.
