Anna Lee Lyons

April 22, 1928 — November 23, 2017

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Crossroads Church for Anna Lee Lyons, 89, who passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017.  Pastor Jeff Ables will officiate the ceremony.  Interment will take place at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point, LA.

Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Crossroads Church from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.

Anna is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Broussard and her husband Terry of Lafayette, and Sue Ellen Latour of Lafayette;  three sons, Kurt Lyons and his wife Pam of Lafayette, Danny Lyons and his wife Lynette of Carencro, and Chris Lyons and his wife Lisa of Duson;  15 grandchildren;  and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lyons;  her parents, Alice and Albert Venable;  one granddaughter, Sandy Latour;  one son-in-law, Byron Latour;  four sisters;  and three brothers.

Anna was a hairdresser for 32 years.  In her free time she enjoyed cooking and spending time with friends and family.  She left this world to go live eternally with her savior, Jesus Christ.  She lived for her family, and was loved by everyone.

Pallbearers will be Shannon Broussard, Jonathon Latour, Jeremy Lyons, Justin Lyons, Keith Lyons, and Kevin Lyons.  Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Broussard and Jordan Broussard.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff on the eighth floor at Lafayette General Medical Center, the nurses and staff at Courtyard Assisted Living and Courtyard Nursing Home, and her special friends Norma Boudreaux and Sandra Coussan.
