Barbara Vincent

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church in Carencro for Barbara Vincent, 76, who passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018.  The Mass will be con-celebrated by Father Mark Ledoux and Father Tom Voohries. Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery immediately following the services.

Mrs. Vincent is survived by her husband, Steven J. Vincent of Lafayette;  two daughters, Sandy Jones and her husband Randy of Katy, TX,  and Cathy LeBlanc and her husband Michael “Buck” Billeaud of Lafayette;  one son, Chris LeBlanc of Lafayette;  two step-daughters, Sherri Vincent Falgout and her husband Mike of Scott,  and Leslie Vincent of Lafayette;  one step-son, Scott Vincent and his husband Robert “Bobby” Guidry of Crowley;  two grandchildren, Cody Jones and Cassie Jones;  two step-grandchildren, Jennifer Cortese and her husband Chris, and Brody Vincent and his wife Shannon;  and three step-great-grandchildren, Olivia Cortese, Mikey Cortese, and Emilia Rose Vincent.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa and George Leger;  one sister, Jeanette Marty;  and one brother-in-law, Jean Marty.

Barbara loved to live and did it with a big smile.  She loved to watch Saints football, loved to take long walks, loved cooking and organizing family functions, and she loved volunteering her time to those in need.  She spent most of her education career at Lafayette High School.  Barbara was extremely dedicated to her faith, religion, and church.  She was a devoted wife to Steven, her husband of 32 years.

Visitation hours will be observed on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and will resume on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.  A rosary will be prayed on Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m.

Pallbearers are Buck Billeaud, Chris Cortese, Randy Jones, Chris LeBlanc, Mitchell Marty, and Tony Marty.  Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Guidry, Brody Vincent, and Scott Vincent.
