Carroll "C.J." Clark

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Carroll “C.J.” Clark, 88, who passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Deacon Keith Duhon, of Our Lady of Prompt Succor in Coteau, will conduct the ceremony. Interment will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery immediately following the service.

The family requests that visitation hours be observed on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 3:00 p.m.

C.J. is survived by his companion, Peggy Trahan of Scott; two step-daughters, Melanie Andrepont of Lafayette, and Jennifer Andrepont Trotter and her husband Douglas of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Doris Hebert and Pauline Harrington; one brother, Gerald Champagne; six step-grandchildren, Michael Lynch, Amanda Lynch, Tricia Delcambre Darby, Wiley Billingsley, Wesley Billingsley, and Beau Billingsley; and nine step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lois Manuel Clark; his mother, Noemie Vincent Clark Champagne; his father, Norman Clark; his step-daughter, Sherryl Delcambre; his step-grandson, Jason Delcambre; and his step-great-grandson, Trevor Darby.

A resident of Scott for over 50 years, C.J. was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by Service Truck Line as a Dispatcher and Foreman for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed going to casinos, going out to eat, playing cards (especially bourrée), and spending time with friends and family.

Pallbearers will be Scott Brouillette, Devon Burke, John Campbell, John Darby, Michael Lynch, and Mark Plaisance.
