A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 7, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church for Chad Jonathan Abadie, 45, who passed away April 1, 2017. Father Travis Abadie, associate pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Eunice, will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his children, Jules Ann and Jonathan Abadie of Lafayette; his parents, Jules Abadie of Lafayette and Donna Kerry of Corpus Christi, Tex.; his partner Chandra Marks and her son Luke; one sister, Jessica Kerry of Vero Beach, Fla.; and three brothers, Jake Abadie of Youngsville, Father Travis Abadie of Eunice, and Maxwell Kerry of Vero Beach, Fla.
Chad was a native of New Orleans and resident of Church Point. He was employed by Eaton Oil Tools as a Petroleum Engineer.
Chad's strength was made known by the crosses he carried. He was a man of great heart and wild humor, who could make you laugh even in your darkest moments. He would generously devote his love, time, and compassion to all.
A brief visitation will take place prior to mass between 12:15 and 1:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Seton Church.
