Clifford Joseph Zerangue, age 93, was granted God's eternal peace on December 12, 2017. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 am in St. Mary Nativity Church (3500 Hwy. 1, Raceland, LA 70394). Family visitation and final goodbyes will begin at 9:00 am in the church, and burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
Clifford is survived by his three children, Michael Zerangue and his wife Vickie, Jeffery Zerangue and his wife Phyllis, and Janet "Pixie" Zerangue Reno and her husband David; his brother Gerald Zeringue; five grandchildren, Marion Charmain "Charlie" Zerangue Mullins and her husband Darron, Michael Chad Zerangue, Stacey Zerangue Labot, Mark Zerangue, and Andrea "Andi" Reno Ardoin and her husband Mike; numerous great-grandchildren and one great, great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his his wife of nearly 70 years Helen Folse Zerangue; his parents, Clifford Henry and Julie Gautreaux Zerangue; his son, Thomas Antoine Zerangue; and two sisters, Adriel Zerangue Folse and Ruth Zerangue Cockennic.
Cilfford was born on July 21, 1924. He was a WWII Navy veteran and also served his country in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He retired after 33 years as a machinist from Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill.
Honorary pallbearers are Michael Chad Zerangue, Mark Zerangue, Mike Ardoin, Darron Mullins, David Zerangue and Boo Folse.
