Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Clinton Collins, 82, who passed away September 26, 2014 at his residence. Minister Brad Gill of First Baptist Church will conduct the funeral services; Tommy Benoit will play violin.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie B. Collins of Lafayette; two daughters, Nancy Collins Hensler (Harry) of Buford, GA and Connie Collins Peschier (Robert) of Lafayette; three sisters, Clara Walls of Navarre Beach, FL, Ouida Hood (Bobby Allen) of Grenada, MS, and Myra Hayes (Bobby) of Weatherford, TX; four grandchildren, Thomas Shaw, Tracie Shaw, Robert C. Peschier and Jane Kubecka; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the former Lois Higginbotham and Ottis Collins.
Clinton was a native of Vardman, MS and resident of Lafayette for the past 12 years. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service. Afterwards, Clinton worked in security for K-Mart for 16 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Kubecka, Frank Kubecka, Harry Hensler, Robert C. Peschier, Robert W. Peschier, Matthew Kubecka, and Devin Shaw.
The family requests that visitation be held Monday from 10:00 am until time of service at Walters Funeral Home.
