Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Della G. Thibodeaux, 93, who passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Pastor Scott Green, of Natchez, Mississippi, will officiate the ceremony.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
Della is survived by two daughters, Mary Deville and her husband Rodney of Lafayette, and Brunella Latiolais and her husband Carroll of Lafayette; one sister, Melissa Angelle of Cecilia; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernese Thibodeaux; her second husband, Paul Goodman; her parents, Corine and Maxime Grossie, Sr.; five brothers, Gaston Grossie, Paul Grossie, Frank Grossie, Wilfred Grossie, and Maxime Grossie, Jr.; one sister, Marie Broussard; and two grandchildren.
Della was a member of Crossroads Church, and enjoyed drawing birds in her free time.
Pallbearers are Kayne Albert, James DeBose, Byron Deville, Todd Deville, Mickey Guidry, Cory Latiolais, and Karl McCuistion.
The family requests that visitation hours be observed on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.
