A native from Scott, Miss Eva was an accomplished seamstress and an incredible cook.  She has participated in hundreds of weddings, Mardi Gras balls and high school proms by assisting in design and fabrication of beautiful dresses and outfits.  Some of her latest pride has been sewing for priests and area churches along with the work she did for her most satisfied customers, family and friends.
Eva Mae was an active member of St. Patrick's church for many years.  She participated in socials, Christmas parties and her monthly birthday group luncheons.  She loved to cook and always came up with new ideas and recipes for her dishes.  One of her joys was making divinity candy which was given to family and friends whenever the weather was right.
She and her husband, Cecil loved traveling extensively in their camper throughout all four corners of the United States and Canada and making friends along the way.  Her "joie de vivre" and generous nature has touched so many people over the years.  Her memory will live on for generations to come through her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Dean, Quinton Robert Dean, Eric  Benoit, Charlie Mitchell, Ricky Broussard, and LaMonte Domingue.
The family requests that visitation be held Monday, May 25, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 pm, and resume Tuesday morning from 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be prayed Monday evening at 6:00 pm.
Memorial contributions can be made in Miss Eva's name to St. Patrick Church, 406 E. Pinhook Rd., Lafayette, LA 70501.
