Gerald Brady

Gerald Jude Brady, age 84, of Lafayette, LA, passed away on April 17, 2026. He was born on June 15, 1941, to Lucille and Floyd Lee (Tom) Brady.

After graduating from La Salle High School and Northwestern State University, Gerald spent his career in the oil industry. He loved hunting, spending time with his friends, and getting back to Olla every chance he could. Above all, he cherished his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Floyd Lee Brady; his grandson, Austin James Broussard; his brother, Bud Brady; and his sister, Shirley Talley.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 60 years, Glenda Brady; daughters, Laurel Brady Griffin (Kevin) and Stacey Brady Melancon (David); grandchildren, Brady Griffin (Ale), Hunter Griffin (Ashleigh), Cole Griffin (Carly), and Caroline Melancon; and great-grandson, Asher James Griffin.
