Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 10:30 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Glenn A. Gibson Sr., who passed away June 6, 2023 at River Oaks Retirement Manor. He was 71 years old.
Following the service in Lafayette, Marine Funeral Honors will be held at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings at 12:30 pm.

Survivors include two children, Dedra Davidson-Underwood of Houston, TX and Glenn Gibson, Jr. of New Iberia; LA; one sister, Rose Mary Anthony of LaPlace, LA; two brothers, Willie Gibson Jr. of St. Martinville, LA and John Gibson Sr. of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the former Joyce Fontenette and Willie Gibson Sr.; and siblings Jackie Ray Gibson and Patricia Daniels.

Visitation will be observed between 9:00 am - 10:30 am on Thursday morning.
