Ima Williams

Ima W. Williams, age 80 passed away Tuesday May 20, 2025 in her family home.

A service will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 610 Raintree Trail, Lafayette, Louisiana on June 14, 2025 at 11:00 am, a rosary will proceed service at 10:30 am. A gathering is planned after the service at the church Family Life Center.

Ima lived and worked on Nottingham Circle in Lafayette for more than 35 years. She built a thriving accounting service by helping people in her community. This was her ministry.

She would say, “Teach a man to fish and he will never go hungry.” She truly cared about her community, serving wherever she was called.

She loved her church, her family and friends. Spending time with her family at game night was heaven on earth. She was a member of a Rosary group for more than 20 years.

She was a shining light that no doubt is shining brightly in heaven, missed by so many.

Surviving family members: Three children: Kandy Toups of Lafayette, Lynette Wellmeier of Carencro and Brett Williams of Lafayette. Five Grandchildren, Brittany Guilbeau of Kyle, Texas, Gabrielle Petersen of Franklin, Tennessee, Madeline Ardoin of Lafayette, Colton Williams of Lafayette, and Kendall Williams of Lafayette. Three Great grandchildren Taylon and Tashton Guilbeau of Kyle Texas and Magnolia Petersen of Franklin, Tennessee. Two siblings: Mildred Daigle of Beau Mont and Merline Myers of Moss Bluff, and sister in law, Denise Clark of Toledo Bend, Louisiana.
