James Jeoffroy

James “Joe” Jeoffroy, 87, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Per Mr. Jeoffroy’s request, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his companion of 67 years, Janet Jeoffroy; one daughter, JoAnn Brooks and her husband David; one son, Joedy Jeoffroy and his companion Jeannie McCall; one sister, Nita Barrett and her husband Billy Joe; one grandson, Jake Jeoffroy; and one great-grandson, Rome Good.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nita and Berney Jeoffroy.
James was a member of the United States Navy, serving in World War II. He worked in the oil field trucking industry for 67 years, where he and his son owned and operated Jeoffroy Trucking Company. In his free time, he enjoyed delivering fruits and vegetables to all of his customers and friends.
