James Living Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for James Nelson Living Sr., who passed away on March 17, 2017. He was 56 years old. Interment will follow the mass in the church's cemetery.
A brief visitation will be held prior to the mass Saturday morning at Walters Funeral Home from 7:00 am until 9:30 am.
Survivors include two daughters, Jamesseia Living and Terica Rivera and her husband Jose; his mother, Genevieve Living; one sister, Janelle Living; three brothers, John Living, Stephen Living and Anthony Living and his wife Fredreka; one half brother, Byron Despanie; five grandchildren, Jameion Living, Jamie Living, Jailon Living, Derrien Lewis, and Jace Rivera; four step-grandchildren, Maria Rochelle Rivera, Eliann Judith Rivera, Saniah Marie-Lynn Rivera, and Hector Xavier Rivera; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father David Living; two sons, James N. Living Jr. and Terry Living; and two grandsons, James N. Breaux and Christian Living.
James was a native of Lafayette. He served in the United States Army, and retired from the Postal Service after 32 years.
Pallbearers will be Mark Benoit, Carroll Journet, Ryan Living, Harlyn Journet, Lionel Amos Jr. and Ian Journet. Honorary pallbearers include Gary Amos, Jason West, Tommy LeBlanc, Wendell Thibeaux, and Clarence Celestine.
