A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Jean Alleman, who passed away at her residence on June 8, 2012. She was 60 years old. Pastor Todd Menard of Family Life Church will conduct the service.
She is survived by her mother, Maydell Alleman of Duson; one brother, Nelson J. Alleman and his wife Jeanette of Scott; four nieces, Janice Alleman of Scott, Donna Guidry of Houma, Charlene Menard of Lafayette, and Lori Steele of Denham Springs; two nephews, Randy Meaux of Carencro and Ryan Chad Meaux of Waxhaw, North Carolina; twelve great-nieces and nephews, Rami Bourgeois, Marae and Michael Bearb, Nicole Guidry, Tiffany Rudd, Michael Jr. and Abrielle Steele, and Nick, Caleb, Brennan, Parker and Addison Rae Meaux; and three great-great nieces and nephews, Devin Thibodeaux, Carlee Rudd, and Riley Rudd, who was Jean's beloved godchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alcide Alleman and her sister, Shirley Alleman Meaux.
Jean was born and raised in Lafayette. She was self employed as an accountant for many years, and was heavily involved with Family Life Church.
The family requests that visitation be held on Saturday, June 16, from 8:00 am until time of service.
