Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015, at 10:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Jeffrey Glenn Ruddock, 54, who passed away May 31, 2015 at his residence. Frank Dudley, chaplain for St. Joseph Hospice, will conduct the funeral services. Jeffrey's father-in-law, Bob Likes, will give the eulogy.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Ruddock; three daughters, Tara Ruddock-Brown and her husband Ryan of Breaux Bridge, Tiffany Zeller and her husband Jason of Fort Worth, Tex., and Tessa Ruddock and her companion Ben Trahan of Youngsville, La.; three sisters, Ginger Doyle, Rebecca Price, and Jamie Pruitt; and five grandchildren, Ian Jeffrey "Bubba" Ruddock, Kobie Ryan "KoBo" Brown, Asher Jackson "Dupey" Dupuis, Crosby Paul "Tooka" Zeller, and Olive Grace "Princess" Zeller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the former Kathleen Inez Pirkle and Robert Howard Ruddock, his maternal grandparents, T.A. and Gracie Pirkle; three sisters, Ruby Ruth Gandre, Darce "Dot" Pape, and Gail Ruddock; and one brother, Robert Ruddock, Jr.
Jeffrey was a native of Gonzales, Tex. and resident of Lafayette for the past 29 years. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. He was employed by Phoenix Technology and a member of First Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hollis, Mark Hebert, Ben Toutcheque, and Bobby Hebert. Honorary pallbearers include Ian Ruddock and Asher Dupuis.
The family requests that visitation be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, and resume June 4, 2015 from 8:00 am until time of service.
