John Raymond Hansen

John Raymond Hansen, 71, passed away on June 19, 2024 at his residence in Lafayette. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Gallant Fields, the exclusive veteran's section of Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Hansen of Lafayette; two sons, Steven (Elizabeth) Hansen of Lafayette, and Harold (Gloria) Hansen of Aurora, CO; three grandchildren, Coraline, Hayden, and Archer Hansen; and three sisters, Wanda Whalen of Carencro, Barbara Singleton of Baton Rouge, and Nancy Trahan of Mobile, AL. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Harold Hansen; one brother, James Daniel Hansen; and three sisters, Sally Basom, Katherine Billings, and Betty Hansen.

John was a native of Mulberry, AR and resident of Lafayette for more than 30 years. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era, and was a member of the American Legion. 

The family requests that visitation be held on July 3 between the hours of 10:00 am - 12:45 pm at Walters Funeral Home.
