John Allen Roger, Sr.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for John Allen Roger Sr., 70, who passed away April 7, 2026. Interment will follow the services in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda H. Roger of Scott; five sons, John (Nacona) Roger, Jr. of Scott, Joe (Christina) Roger of Carencro, Willy (Tanna) Roger of Carencro, Jacob (Shelly) Roger of Scott, and James (Nikki) Roger of Duson; two brothers, Ronald (Darleen) Roger and Earl (Michelle) Roger; one sister, Jeanette R. Lanclos; twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Euric Roger; two sisters, Janelle "Rose" Vincent and Annette Roger; sister-in-law, Linda B. Roger; and brother-in-law, Daniel Lanclos.

Serving as pallbearers are John Roger, Jr., Joe Roger, Willy Roger, Jacob Roger, James Roger, and Zachary Roger. Honorary pallbearers include Brylan Roger, Mason Roger, Brian Roger, Charles Hebert, and Troyt Lanclos.

The family requests that visitation be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 between the hours of 9:00 am - 8:00 pm, and resume Monday morning at 8:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 2:00 pm on Sunday afternoon.
