Kevin Roger

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Kevin Roger, 60, who passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Pastor Bud Plake and Pastor Jeff Ables will officiate the service. Interment will be in Gallant Fields at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral service.

Visitation hours will be observed on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.

Kevin is survived by his wife Shannon Roger of Scott; two daughters, Kuristin Roger of Duson, and Chasity Bourque of Carencro; two sons, Hunter Roger (Lisa) of Carencro, and Jacob Roger of Scott; one sister, Wanda LaFleur (Chris) of Lafayette; three grandsons, Ashton Stoute, Lincoln Roger, and Hayes Broussard; four granddaughters, Kadence Guidry, Kaylee Stoute, Sophie Rinehart, and Annistyn Stoute; and one great-grandson, Jackson Stoute.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Ernest Roger, Jr.

Kevin was a Veteran of the United States Army, and served as a Medic in Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Born in Lafayette, Kevin has been a resident of Scott for 24 years, and was a member of the Lafayette Fire Department for ten years.

Pallbearers are Hunter Roger, Jacob Roger, Ashton Stoute, Bubba Robin, Ricky Roger, and B.J. Johnson.
