A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Kirby Leo Daigle, 79, who passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026. The Rev. Joseph White, Pastor of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, will officiate the ceremony. Lectors will be his grandchildren, Lillian, Ava Grace, Rowan, and Lilah Rodrigue.

Visitation hours will be observed at Walters Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.

Kirby is survived by his daughter, Gina Rodrigue (Jason) of Lafayette; his son Nick Daigle (Daniel Post) of New Orleans; one sister, Karen Sue Matte (James) of Church Point; and his grandchildren, Lillian, Ava Grace, Rowan and Lilah Rodrigue.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Darbonne Daigle; his parents, Joseph Curley Daigle and Mary Benoit Daigle; and two brothers, Randy Daigle and Reggie Daigle.

Kirby is a United States Army Veteran and a retired St. Landry Parish Bail Bondsman. He was born in Church Point, LA and lived in Opelousas for over 50 years.
