Maisie Huval

April 28, 1935 — March 2, 2021

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Seton Church for Maisie B. Huval, 85, who passed away March 2, 2021. Father David Hebert, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Krystal Parrinello and Jamey Domec; gift bearers, Luke McBride and Lexie Lassalle. Jodi Bollich, organist and soloist, will perform "Precious Lord, Take My Hand", "To You, O Lord I Lift My Soul", "Old Rugged Cross", "Make Me A Channel of Your Peace", and "J'irai La Voir Un Jour". Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Lines Paul Huval of Lafayette; daughter, Carolyn Huval McBride and her husband Tim of Lafayette; two brothers, Ray Breaux and John Breaux, both of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Krystal Parrinello and Jamey Domec; and four great-grandchildren, Luke McBride, Lexie Lasselle, Christoper Domec, and Andrew Domec.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eleda and Abel Breaux, two sons, Glen Huval and Bryal Huval; and two brothers, Norris Breaux and Russel Breaux.
Maisie was born in Carencro and lived in Lafayette all her life. She was a member of St. Leo The Great Catholic Church.
Pallbearers for the service are Tim McBride, Hubert Huval, Kenneth Breaux, Blaine Breaux, Scot Thibodeaux, and Rusty Thibodeaux.
The family requests that visitation be held Friday morning at 8:00 am until service. A rosary will be led by Sr. Doris Roy at 11:00 am.
