A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 3:00 pm in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for Mercer Matthew Taylor, who passed away December 26, 2015. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his parents, the former Britni Rae Guilbeau and Matthew John Taylor; his grandparents Leonard and Suzette Taylor of Arnaudville and Timothy and Dixie Guilbeau of Sunset; his maternal great-grandparents, Hurley and Leatrice Gautreaux of Iota and Willis and Alice Guilbeau of Sunset; his paternal great-grandparents, Leonard and Shirley Angelle and Etheleen Taylor; four uncles, Brandon and his wife Kristina Guilbeau of Spring, Tex., Phillip and his wife Brooke Taylor, Scott and his wife Meredith Taylor, and Jack Taylor and his longtime companion Mallory Stelly; and six cousins, Emma and Austin Guilbeau and Will, Jackson, Ben and Lana Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Wilton Taylor.
Mercer only blessed his family with five short weeks of life, but has left a permanent impression on their hearts. His spirit will live on in their memories.
The family will receive visitors prior to mass from 1:00 pm until time of service.
