Milton Lynn Stevens

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Milton Lynn "Milt" Stevens, age 82, who passed away Friday, August 14, 2026 at his residence. Father Glen Meaux will officiate the service. Shawn Roy, organist and vocalist, will perform, "Amazing Grace", "On Eagle's Wings", "The Lord is My Light and My Salvation", "Be Not Afraid", "How Great Thou Art", and "Battle Hymn of the Republic". Interment will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Stevens, known to most as "Milt," was born in Leesville, LA and was a longtime resident of Carencro. He graduated from Scott High School in 1961 and soon thereafter enlisted in the Marine Corps, rising to the rank of Corporal. He exemplified an amazing physical and athletic ability as a football player. He earned a football scholarship to the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now UL- Lafayette), and graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Milton laid the groundwork for the family business of Stevens Mobile Homes, All South Rig Housing, and Stevens RV Center. Over four decades he helped generations of local families find mobile homes, RV's, and housing accommodations for the oil rig platforms between Louisiana and Texas. He added a service center and RV parts store to meet the needs of his customers. His high business ethics of honor, integrity, and leadership skills earned him a solid reputation in the industry and in Acadiana.

With the love and support of his devoted wife, Anna Marie, he raised a family of six children. A devout Catholic and man of faith, he lived his life guided by love, integrity, and devotion to his family. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting wild game and had a deep appreciation for nature and animals, especially his beloved dogs. He cherished traveling with Marie, particularly their annual summer trips to Destin, where they enjoyed precious time with their children and grandchildren. His legacy of love, devotion, integrity, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of his family for generations to come.

Survivors include his devoted beautiful wife of 47 years, Anna Marie Stevens; six children, Brett Thomas Stevens and his wife Cynthia; Kristie Stevens Delcambre, Blake Anthony Stevens and his wife Jamie, Lamont Domingue and his wife Patti, Mia Domingue McCown and her husband Stuart, and Monette Domingue McCallum and her husband Michael; twelve grandchildren, McKay Patricia Stevens, Molly Marie Stevens, Taylor Theriot and his wife Olivia, DavidMichael Courville and his fiancee Lindsey, Jeremiah Courville, Brennan Stevens, Bradley Stevens, Bodhi Stevens, Monti Smith and her husband William, Garon Domingue and his fiancee Krista, Constance Camel, and Brayden Camel and his wife Isabel; five great-grandchildren; three siblings, Karen Hebert, Helen Doucet and her husband Richard, Travis Stevens and his wife Andre; one sister-in-law Marilyn Stevens; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Julian and Mamie Stevens; one brother, Julian Stevens, Jr.; and one brother-in-law, Don Hebert.

Visitation will take place at Walters Funeral Home on Wednesday morning between the hours of 9:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.

Serving as pall bearers are his grandsons Taylor Theriot, Brayden Camel, Garon Domingue, DavidMichael Courville, Brennan Stevens, Bradley Stevens, Jeremiah Courville, and Bodhi Stevens. Honorary pall bearers include the Stevens Homes Softball Team and Victor Dykes.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Milt's name to the Alzheimer's Association .
