A gathering of friends and family will take place on Friday, November 2, 2018 between 9:00 am and noon at Walters Funeral Home for Noemie C. Charleville, 85, who passed away October 30, 2018 at The Carpenter House. Private burial services will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include two daughters, Jill (Jeff) Labbe of Carencro, and Lynne Andrews of Youngsville; one son, Francis E.(Mona) Charleville IV of Arnaudville, one brother, Cleo Chaney of Warner Rollins, GA; four grandchildren, Grant Guilbeau, Ty Steele, Leslie L. Prejean, and Logan Labbe; and three great-grandchildren, Laiken Guilbeau, Gavin Guilbeau, and Sawyer Prejean.
She was preceded in death by her husband, F.E. Charleville III, her parents, the former Hazel Bourgoyne and John B. Chaney, two brothers, Boone and Doc Chaney, one sister, Rita Phillips, and one grandson, Jason Scott Charleville.
Noemie was a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Lafayette for the past 55 years. She was a member of Lafayette Homemakers and the Quilters Group Acadienne. She enjoyed sewing and costuming, and made the Mardi Gras costumes for the Krewe of Troubadours for 30 years.
