A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Pamela Marie Doucet, 65, who passed away February 7, 2017 at her residence. Father Gary Schexnayder will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include faithful companion, Rick Rogers of Lafayette; one daughter, Tracy Lynn Dejean and her three children Megan, Madelyn and Mia, all of Lafayette; one step-son, Trevor Rogers, his wife Misty, and their two children, Casey and Jessie, all of Mobile, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman J. Doucet, and her parents, the former Helen Hebert and Robley Guidry.
Pamela was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. She was employed by Frank's Casing Crew for 40 years.
Pallbearers will be Davis Vangemerden, Trevor Rogers, Mike Emerson, Warren Ireland, Richard Miller, and Mike Ledoux.
The family requests that visitation be held on Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, and resume Thursday morning at 8:00 until time of service. A rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm.
