Patsy Van Hoosen

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Patsy Lou Van Hoosen, 71, who passed away on February 4, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Patsy is survived by two daughters, Rose Marie Young and her husband Steve of Brementon, WA, and Laura V. Groves of Lafayette; one son, Randy A. Van Hoosen of Lafayette; three sisters, Cheryl Medina, Mary Smith, and Gail Ward; three brothers, Steve Allgood, Jerry Allgood, and Fred Parr; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Van Hoosen; her parents, Herbert Reeks and Louise Allgood; and one sister, CathyWorks.
Patsy was born on June 14, 1940 in Owensboro, KY, and lived in Lafayette for most of her life. She enjoyed bowling, especially with the Ladies Night Out Bowling League, and was a member of the USBC.
Pallbearers will be Jerry, Jerry, Jr., Joey, and Steve Allgood; Todd Babineaux, and Kenneth Romero.
The family requests that visitation be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm, and resume Tuesday morning from 8:00 am until time of service. Also, the family extends a very special thank you to Dr. Karen Roden and her staff at Louisiana Oncology Associates, and Heart of Hospice.
