Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 1, 2016 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for RubyAnn LaPointe, 73, who passed away September 28, 2016 at her residence. Brother Mike Bonnett of Philadelphia Christian Church will officiate the services. Interment will follow the services in Abshire Cemetery near Kaplan.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin LaPointe, Sr. of Lafayette; three daughters, Anna Marie LaPointe of Oakdale, Cynthia (Timmy) Jagneaux of Carencro, and Tammy (Rodney Paul) Langley of Ark.; one step-daughter, Theresa (Keith) Moneaux of Erath; three sons, Edwin (Tina) LaPointe, Jr. of Lafayette, Rodney (Marilyn) LaPointe, Sr. of Lafayette, and Terry LaPointe of Lafayette; two sisters, Jenny Daigle of Duson, and Earline Cormier of Mire; two brothers, Ernest Benoit, Jr. of Scott, and Harry Benoit of Lafayette; seventeen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edith and Ernest Benoit, Sr. and her brother, Clarence Benoit.
Pallbearers will be Rodney LaPointe Sr., Terry LaPointe, Daniel Castille Sr., Dean Nolan, Edwin LaPointe Jr., and Keith Moneaux Sr.
The family requests that visitation be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm and continue until Saturday morning services.
