Shelly Weise

Michelle "Shelly" Weise passed away peacefully at her residence in New Iberia on September 11, 2021. She was 60 years old. Due to the current Covid-19 spike in our area, memorial services will be held at a later date.
Shelly was born on December 20, 1960, in Eureka, Ca., and lived in Lafayette for most of her life. She was a good friend and loved by all who knew her. When she was around there was never a dull moment. She was always trying to make people smile and be happy.
She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her fiancé, Glen Guidry; step-father, Leo Huffman; and her extended family, Leah Griffith and her fiance, Ryan Faul, Robbie Matte and his fiancee, Terez; Brandy Thibodeaux and her grandchildren who held a special place in Shelly's heart: Bryson Matte, Ayva Matte, Harley Matte, and Carlos "LoLo" Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Huffman.
A heartfelt appreciation is extended to the staff of Acadian Hospice for giving Shelly care and comfort during her time of need.
