Sherry Alleman

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010, 2:30 p.m. at St. Peter Church in Carencro for Sherry Ann Alleman, 63, of Lafayette, who passed away on December 5, 2010. Father Bill Melancon, Pastor of St. Peter Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and conduct the funeral services. Scripture will be read by Shannon Theriot-Simon and Carita Guidry. Musical selections will be sung by Valerie Andrus, and her grandchildren will sing a dedication to her.

Sherry is survived by her children Shannon Faye Theriot-Simon of Lafayette and Troy James Theriot of Carencro; her sister Carita Guidry of Carencro; four grandchildren, Jason and Steven Theriot and Aimee and Rachael Simon; and two great-grandchildren, Serenity Estelle, and Julianna Theriot-Rothermel.

She was preceded in death by her parents Steven and Agnes Alleman; three brothers, Harold, Alan, and Rodley Alleman; one sister, Etta Alleman; and her former husband, Johnny Theriot.

Sherry was born on October 16, 1947. She worked at Stuller, Inc., for 23 years as an administrative assistant of Sales Operations. She was a member of St. Edmond Church in Lafayette and St. Peter Church in Carencro, and was a minister of St. Claire's Third Order Fransiscans.
