Shirley Ann Hudgins

Military funeral services for Shirley Hudgins will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 at 12:30 pm in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana. Shirley passed away August 18, 2023 at the Sage Specialty Hospital.

Visitation will occur Monday morning between 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Walters Funeral Home.

Survivors include husband, John Hudgins; three children, Franchesska, Angela and Marlon Hudgins; four grandchildren, Rochon, Terrance, Terrel, and Marlon Hudgins, Jr.; and one great-grandson, Sorai Hudgins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Vincent Janice; and two sisters, Eldee Allison and Bella Janice. 

Shirley was a native of Alexandria and resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She worked as a bus driver for Lafayette Parish School Systems.
