Theresa Ann "Annie" Hendrix was born in New Orleans on November 30, 1946, and passed away at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana on March 1, 2026. She resided in Sunset, LA and most recently was a resident at River Oaks Retirement Manor.
Annie was a Clay Artist, well known throughout the Gulf Coast. Annie created unique hand sculpted items, such as laid back musicians with various musical instruments, Creole cooks and chefs, varied seafood items, elaborate wall hanging art, etc, too many to list! She appeared in numerous print publications written about her, displaying her pieces and receiving many awards. She was a member of many arts & craft groups. She displayed her art and sold items at Fairs and Festivals.
Annie is survived by a sister, Dale Ellen H. Bears; her best friend and guardian, Judy D. Lyons; daughter of her heart, Deedi Green; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virgil Ocatavia Barlow Hendrix, her father David E. Hendrix, her sister, Donna H. Boudreaux, and her brothers, David Hendrix and Michael Hendrix.
There will be a private interment at a later date.
