Thomas Atkinson, Jr.

Thomas C. Atkinson Jr. passed away October 11, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. He was 68 years old.
Survivors include his wife Dee Atkinson of Lafayette; three sons, Timmy Atkinson and his wife Amy of Arnaudville, Ryan Atkinson and John Atkinson, both of Lafayette; one sister, Charlotte Guidry of Lafayette; seven grandchildren, Austyn, Ali, Chaille, Halli, Grant, and Colby Atkinson, and Matthew Latham; and his beloved Schnauzer, Tessie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mattie and Thomas C. Atkinson, Sr.
Thomas was born in Magnolia, Arkansas. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and resided in Lafayette for the past 63 years.
The family sends special thanks to Dr. Karen Roden, the staff of Louisiana Oncology and the staff of the 5th floor at Our Lady of Lourdes for their compassion and care during their time of need. As per his wishes, no funeral services will be held.
