Thomas H. Brinkman, Jr.

A Celebration of Life honoring the life of Thomas H. Brinkman Jr. will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 pm at Walters Funeral Home. Mr. Brinkman peacefully passed away on January 3, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by family. He was 77 years old.

A rosary will be led by Trudy Eichorn at 2:30 pm at the funeral home for those who would like to participate. Inurnment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cheryl S. Brinkman of Lafayette; one daughter, Jeana B. (Brian) Francis of Conroe, TX; two sons, Brad T. (Abby) Brinkman of Arnaudville, and Ryan J. (Jay Evans) Brinkman of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, Barrett (Rebecca) Francis of Duson, Ethan Francis of Conroe, TX, Molly (Kevin) Brown of Willis, TX, Wyatt Francis of Conroe, TX, Tyler Brinkman of Lafayette, and Tanner Brinkman of Lafayette; and one great-grandchild, Reece Francis of Duson, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the former Lita Roy and Thomas H. Brinkman, Sr., and one brother, Herman J. Brinkman.

Tommy “ T ” Brinkman worked in the oil and gas industry and retired from Greene's Energy Group after 37 years. Many will remember his firm handshake and warm smile. In his free time, he liked fishing, cooking, making others laugh, listening to classic country music, enjoying his morning coffee, and most importantly, spending time with family and friends.
