Timothy Venable

Timothy Joseph Venable, known to most as Tim, was born on December 16, 1969, in Lafayette, Louisiana. At just 56 years old, he left this world far too soon on September 9, 2026, but the stories, smiles, and love he gave to the people around him will remain forever.

Tim was a hardworking man who devoted more than 30 years to the terrazzo flooring industry. He took pride in his work and in the family tradition he shared with his father, Joseph, and his brother, Dwayne. For Tim, the work was more than a job—it was time spent building something lasting alongside the people he loved.

He had a talent for working with his hands and a deep appreciation for making things. Whether he was handcrafting a knife, tending his yard, fishing, or putting in a long day of work, Tim approached life in his own way: with skill, determination, and a sense of humor never far behind.

But his greatest gift may have been the joy he brought to others. Tim was known for his practical jokes, funny stories, and larger-than-life personality. He could make people laugh when they needed it most, and he had a way of making ordinary moments memorable. Those who knew him will remember not only his craftsmanship and hard work, but also the lighthearted spirit that made him unforgettable.

Most of all, Tim was a father, brother, uncle, and loved member of his family. He leaves behind his children, Logan and Lexus Venable; his brother, Dwayne Venable and his wife Amy; his sister, Tina Venable; nephews, Zac Venable and JC Rizzutto and his wife Pasley; niece, Ashley Carpenter and her husband Jason; great-nephew; Axel Carpenter, and great nieces, Keelynn Carpenter, Aaron, Isabella, and Calliope Rizzutto.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Geraldine Venable; his grandparents, Skurdy and Gertie Menard and Matilda Broussard; his aunt, Debbie Bourque; and his nephew, Alex Venable.

Although Tim’s absence leaves an immeasurable void, the laughter he shared, the stories he created, and the love he gave will continue to live in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to have known him. His life reminds us to work hard, laugh often, create with our hands, and never miss an opportunity to bring a smile to someone’s face. Tim will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.

Details for a Celebration of Life honoring Tim will be announced at a later date.
