Velta Bishop

Survivors include her husband, Charles C. Bishop of Carencro; one son, Robert _Bob_ Guidry and wife Babette of Lafayette; three step-daughters, Linda Bishop of Lafayette; Janet Taylor and husband Thomas _Tommy_ of Arnaudville; and Julie Lopez and husband Terrance _Terry_ of Elton, LA; three step-sons, Larry Bishop and wife Annie of Pearland, TX; Randy Bishop, Sr. and wife Jessica of St. Martinville; and Robby Bishop and wife Melissa of St. Martinville; one brother, Antoine _Tony_ Menard of Gonzales, LA; two grandsons, Jared Guidry and wife Natalie of Lafayette; and Jake Guidry of Lafayette; 13 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great, great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lee Elias Guidry; and her parents, Nella and Estaeus Menard.
In her free time, Vesta enjoyed camping, fishing, watching New Orleans Saints football and Atlanta Braves baseball, and spending time with her friends and family.
Pallbearers will be Jared Guidry, Jake Guidry, Randy Bishop, Robby Bishop, Matt Hebert, and Marc Hebert.
