Verdie "Mim" Guidry

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church for Verdie “Mim” Guidry, 94, who passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.  Father Glenn Meaux will officiate the ceremony.  Interment will take place at a later date.  

Survivors include her son, Terry Guidry of Scott;  one granddaughter, Claire Guidry of Baton Rouge;  and Victor “Doobie” Arceneaux of Bosco, who was like a second son to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curley Guidry;  her parents, Henry and Anita Sonnier;  one son, Steve Guidry;  three sisters;  and two brothers.

Mim was a graduate of Scott High School, and a parishioner at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.  She was a prolific gardener who took a great deal of pride in her yard.
