Wilbert "Tiger" Landry

May 18, 1929 — November 5, 2018

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2018 in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Wilbert "Tiger" Paul Landry, who died November 5, 2018. The retired Rev. Gary Schexnayder will officiate the funeral Mass. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 am until time of service. A rosary will be led by Sister Doris Roy at 11:00 am.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Georgie Melancon Landry; one son, Danny Landry of Atlanta; four brothers, Albert Landry, Nelson Landry, Harry Lee Landry and Clayton Landry; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Antoine Landry and Rose Noel Landry; four brothers; Wilson, Remy, Willis and Dalton and one sister, Rita Landry.
Mr. Landry was a Veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Korean War.
