Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 20, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Yvonne LeBlanc Broussard, 77, who passed away July 17, 2026, surrounded by family. The Very Reverend Russell Harrington will conduct the funeral services. Aimee Schueneman and Lydia Boggess will be the lectors for the service. Phyllis Simar and Debbie Leblanc will perform, "Wind Beneath My Wings", "Amazing Grace", "The Rose", and "On Eagle's Wings" Interment will follow the service in Calvary Cemetery.
Survivors include daughter, Michelle (Ray) Dugas of Lafayette; step-daughter, Chantel Broussard (Perry) Walker of Lake Charles; one grandson, Baylen (Lydia) Dugas; three step-grandchildren, Meleah Walker (Joshua) Kimball, Micheal Walker, and Mallory Walker; and one great-granddaughter, Lyla Dugas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey James Broussard; parents Mary and Joseph Leblanc; step-grandson, Zachary Walker; and two first-cousins that were more like siblings, Patricia Poirier and Ronald Theriot.
Yvonne was a native of Breaux Bridge and resident of Lafayette for most of her life. She was a cashier at Angelle's Restaurant for some years, but mostly worked in the home, enjoying spending time with her grandson, Baylen. Together they would enjoy lunch dates at the Lunch Box of shrimp poboys, bike rides, street hockey, and road trips. In retirement, she and her husband loved traveling to hockey tournaments with Baylen across the country, stopping at every roadside attraction and famous landmark along the way. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Micheal Walker, Baylen Dugas, Jude Poirrier, Neal Poirrier, Brian Schueneman, and Myles Theriot.
The family requests that visitation be held Sunday, July 19, 2026 at Walters Funeral Home between the hours of 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm, and resume Monday morning at 9:00 am until time of service.. A rosary will be led by her brother-in-law, Paul Gulotta, Sr. on Sunday afternoon at 5:00 pm.
