Marjorie Leger

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sunrise Chapel at Walters Funeral Home for Marjorie Leger, 86, who passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022.    Deacon Cliff Tanner will officiate the ceremony.

Interment will be immediately following the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation hours will be observed on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., and will resume on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.  A rosary will be prayed on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Gloria Bourque and her husband Kenneth of Duson;  two sons, Michael Guidry and his wife Brenda of Scott, and Allen “Keith” Guidry and his wife Mindy of Duson;  one sister, Dorothy Pryor and her husband Louis of Rayne;  two brothers, Clifford Leger and his wife Ethel of Crowley, and Nalton Leger and his wife Delta of Maraguin;  seven grandchildren, Monica Thibodeaux, Todd Bourque, Chad Guidry, Kevin Bourque, Brock Guidry, Cory Bourque, and Lindsey Broussard;  and ten great-grandchildren, Ty Guidry, Dusty Bourque, Breonna Thibodeaux, Hailey Guidry, Brooklyn Bourque, Tate Guidry, Tucker Guidry, Easton Bourque, Leah Broussard, and Tripp Gaspard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Elemie Leger;  one sister, Lorena Fruge;  and two brothers, Raywood Leger, Sr. and Dalton Leger

Marjorie was a native of Rayne, and a resident of Scott for over 20 years.  She was a seamstress, and delivered newspapers.

Pallbearers are Cory Bourque, Kevin Bourque, Todd Bourque, Jarad Gaspard, Brock Guidry, and Chad Guidry.  Honorary pallbearers are Easton Bourque, Tate Guidry, Tucker Guidry, Ty Guidry, and Rocky Thibodeaux.
